About us

Goal of Project:

l. CSUDH has received funding from the California Community Colleges (This publication was produced pursuant to grant agreement number 06-0381.  This project was supported in part by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998, title I part B funds awarded to the Los Rios Community College District by the Chancellor’s Office of the California Community Colleges) an Internet based regional Nurse Educator Registry (NER) of prospective BSN and MSN nurses who wish to teach either part-time and /or full-time principally in the California State.
The NER would be a website available to deans, directors and chairs in partner institutions
and agencies who are seeking to hire nursing instructors.

2. In order to accomplish this project, we are seeking your participation in helping us to
generate a pool of potential nurse educators who are prepared at the baccalaureate , master’s or doctoral degree level who would be available for teaching positions. Each registrant would post a short resume that would include information about educational preparation, clinical background, credentials, etc.

3. Agencies and schools will be posting job opportunities at this site for prospective applicants. Only those who are officially recognized as participants in this project will have access to the data base.

4. There will not be a cost associated to the participants of this project. Resources are being
sought to continue the registry throughout the year pending it’s effectiveness and usefulness.

5. The materials collected will be available to the statewide workforce and may be used later in publications pertaining to this statewide effort to increase the pool of nurse educators. Confidentiality will be maintained to the extent allowed by law.

If you have any question regarding your role as a participant in this project, you may contact Dr. Laura Inouye at email Linouye@csudh.edu.
